	Detailed Product Description *Summer Book 5* (2nd edition) is for students entering the fifth grade. It contains fifty pages of activities. The top half of each page reviews math concepts. The bottom half of each page reviews language concepts. There are thinking skills or reading comprehension exercises on the back of each page. A complete answer key is located at the back of the book and may be easily removed. Some of the math concepts reviewed are: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals finding the lowest common multiple graphing working with prime numbers converting measures solving word problems rounding numbers using divisibility rules factoring numbers finding area and perimeter writing numbers from words placing commas in numbers using plane geometry terms averaging comparing metric units using greater than and less than symbols Some of the grammar and writing concepts reviewed are: common and proper nouns adjectives pronouns adverbs identifying subjects and parts of speech action, linking and helping verbs diagraming fragments types of sentences contractions synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms possessive words punctuation singular and plural capitalization writing sentences writing descriptions Mind Benders A1 deductive thinking puzzles develops the logic, reading comprehension, and mental organization skills vital to achieving high grades and top test scores in all subjects.
