This die is a clear cube with three smaller cubes inside: red, white, and blue. The smaller six-sided cubes have 1-6 dots on each side. Three 5mm cubes in a 25mm cube.
Ideas for Use
Use this to replace the dice in a regular board game. Have the students roll the cube and add the two largest numbers and subtract the smallest one. If the correct answer is given, the student may go that many spaces.
If students know about negative numbers or you wish to introduce them without saying much about it, a student can roll the cube and add the red and white numbers together, then subtract the blue number. Occasionally this will result in a move backward on the board. Students can move forward the number of squares indicated on the red and white dice. Then they can move backward the number of squares indicated on the blue die.
